Senior Software DeveloperBloomberg Lp Apr 2016 - Nov 2017New York, Ny, UsI was a Senior Financial Software Developer in Engineering (formerly R&D) at Bloomberg in NYC. From May 2016 to June 2017, I was working in the Equities, Earnings & Estimates team. Postdoctoral Associate / Research ScientistMassachusetts Institute Of Technology (Mit) Sep 2011 - May 2016Cambridge, Ma, UsI was conducting my postdoctoral research under the supervision of Prof. Raul Radovitzky at the ISN (Institute for Soldiers Nanotechnologies) at MIT. I was interested in modeling the mechanical response of tissues and organs under extreme conditions such as blast or impact by modeling/simulating their (micro)structure. My research focused on brain tissue response under blast to better understand the outcomes from traumatic brain injury, and spongious bone multi-scale tissue response under impact. In addition, I was interested in quantifying the biomimicry of existing human tissue surrogates, i.e how these synthetic tissues can mimic the mechanical response of human tissue. To this end, I co-developed a scalable Finite Element code in C++ and Python dedicated to large-scale problems in Mechanics of Materials. - Large-scale explicit dynamic Finite Element simulations- Discontinuous Galerkin with cohesive zone models for fracture- Biomimicry computer analysis- Image-based meshing and modeling- Implementation (C++, Python)- Co-developer of a parallel FE solver for large-scale problems in Solid Mechanics -

Postdoctoral AssociateThe Pennsylvania State University Nov 2009 - Sep 2011University Park, Pa, UsI conducted my postdoctoral research under the supervision of Prof. George C. Engelmayr, Jr. on the mathematical modeling of scaffolds in cardiac tissue engineering for myocardium infarction. More precisely, I was interested in better understanding the structural-mechanical coupling of scaffolds, cardiomyocytes and collagen matrix to form eventually an engineered myocardium with the morphological and mechanical native healthy tissue properties.- Image Analysis- Morphological Modeling- Microscopy Observations (Scanning Electron Microscope and Confocal Fluorescence/Reflectance Microscope)- Mammalian Cell Culture (cardiomyocytes, skin fibroblasts) and Collagen gel-based Tissue Engineering- Multi-scale Finite Element simulations- Homogenization Methods- Implementation (C++, Matlab, Python)(3 publications, 1 in preparation) -
Phd CandidateEcole Des Mines De Paris Jan 2006 - Feb 2009Paris, Île-De-France, Fr"Rubber with carbon black fillers: from the nanoscopic structure to the macroscopic behavior" under the supervision of Profs. Dominique Jeulin and Samuel Forest in collaboration with Michelin Company.I defended my PhD Thesis on the multi-scale modeling of the behavior of rubber with carbon black fillers dedicated to tire fabrication. More precisely, I was interested, by using 3D morphological modeling and numerical homogenization, in simulating the influence of the nanoscopic structure of carbon black fillers within the rubber matrix on the macroscopic behavior of the composite.- Image Analysis- Morphological Modeling - Optimization - Image based Meshing - Homogenization Methods- Large scale Parallel Finite Element simulations- Implementation (Python, Matlab, C++)PhD's defense committee: Prof. Philippe Pilvin (Universite Bretagne Sud), Prof. Christian Rey (ENS Cachan), Prof. Peter Wriggers (Leibniz Universitat Hannover), Prof. Andreas Wiegmann (Fraunhofer Institute), Regis Schach (Michelin), Samuel Forest (Mines ParisTech) and Dominique Jeulin (Mines ParisTech). Summer InternshipUniversity Of Colorado Boulder May 2004 - Sep 2004Boulder, Colorado, UsI conducted a summer internship under the supervision of Prof. Yunping Xi, at the Department of Civil, Environmental, and Architectural Engineering, on the wick action with chloride ions in concrete materials. Precisely I was involved in both, the development of an experimental set up to observe the diffusion of chloride ions within the pores of concrete materials and, the development and the implementation in matlab of a model for diffusion in porous materials with local crystallization of chloride.-Implementation: Matlab.-Compressive tests on concrete samples.
