Managing Director, Latin America, Caribbean And Canada
Current- Establishes Audubon’s near and long-term Latin America, Caribbean, and Canada habitat conservation and climate goals, priorities, strategies, and accountable for ensuring the design and execution of local, regional, and national implementation plans to deliver impact at scale toward Audubon’s organizational conservation goals.- Leads the implementation of strategies that incorporate conservation into national development agendas and involves a range of partners -NGOs, business interests, policymakers and community leaders- to deliver results at an unprecedented scale and pace: a) National and subnational protected areas, b) Regenerative Agriculture, c) Coastal Resilience and d) Building a constituincy for wildlife.- Participates in the Steering Committes of hemispheric transformational initiatives: Conserva Aves a partnership between Audubon, Birdlife, American Bird Conservancy, Birds Canada and Redlac (Network of Environmental Funds from Latin America and the Caribbean); and Americas Flyways Initiative, a partnership between Audubon, Birdlife and CAF (Latin America and Caribbean Development Bank).- Manages teams to fundraise for public and private sources. - Directs a team of more than 50 staff and consultants accross multiple countries.- Manages the Audubon Americas Advisory Committe compose of more than 20 leaders from the region
