Improving our behavioral healthcare system by addressing the current health disparities that exist in the delivery of services in Carbon, Emery, and Grand counties.In this role I am also the Chair of the Encouraging Cultural Understanding Committee at the agency.

Carbon County Liaison for the Opioid Affected Youth Initiative

The main purpose of skills counseling is to aid in clients treatment to recover and function at their optimal capacity by learning about their mental illness, empowerment, building self-esteem and confidence, connecting with themselves and others, and gaining meaningful life by learning essential skills, using a holistic approach.

As a Rural Community Liaison my role is to advocate for the mental health needs of rural Utahns. I help coordinate access to mental health services by clients referred by New Horizons Crisis Center, Moab Free Health Clinic, Moab Valley Multicultural Center and Seekhaven. I am also working on increasing our rural partnerships and making sure that rural clients are aware of the behavioral health services available to them.

I help refugees living in the state of Utah obtain and maintain social welfare programs including: SNAP (Food Stamps), Medicaid, Child Care and Financial benefits.
