As a part time sales associate for Follett Higher Education Group at the University of Hartford Campus Store my responsibilities included providing customer service, completing sales transactions, following company standards, and assisting with the filing of paperwork, answering phone calls, shipping/receiving items, training newly hired employees, and maintaining store merchandise.

As part of a graduation requirement I am given the option to obtain an internship in place of the completion of an elective. The internship required commitment of at least one semester and a minimum of 100 hours. During my internship, I was supervised by a licensed School Social Worker. My role as an intern involved managing my own case, preparing and organizing interventions, becoming familiar with and enforcing Connecticut's Special Education laws, assisting with the Children's with Incarcerated Parent's program conducted by Trinity College, and attending and participating in meetings, group intervention sessions, and school related activities.
