    Fremont, Ca, Us
This change in employment was due to the acquisition of Steag Microtech by Mattson.Continued support of Steag equipment after acquisition by Mattson.Spent several months at manufacturing facility in Germany developing software for new equipment and training external software resources on our systems.Sole software engineer responsible for installation and startup of new installation of half a dozen tools at Atmel in Texas.Handled all customer interaction, issue resolution, and sign off for software on new equipment.Took over local support for CFM equipment after acquisition. This equipment used an AB PLC for the control software and Pascal for the GUI. Worked with customer's engineers to develop modifications to the AB PLC code to allow this legacy equipment to support their new process requirements. Was presented an outstanding achievement award from the customer in recognition of these efforts.Retrofit several 300mm tools at MEMC in Missouri to bring them online. These tools used Isagraf IEC 1131 code running on VxWorks OS for the machine control, and a Windows GUI written in C with TCP-IP for communications between the machine control and GUI systems.Used working relationship with customer to identify needs and help secure new equipment sales.
  • Steag Microtech
    Software Engineer
    Steag Microtech Mar 1998 - Jan 2001
Programming of automation software for large automated wet processing machines used in semiconductor manufacturing. Supported installation and start up of a brand new semiconductor fab as it came on line. Sole software engineer on site responsible for all customer interaction and all aspects of installation, maintenance, modifications and upgrades for my company's equipment.Equipment utilized control software written in C, a Windows GUI in C++, and NETBIOS communications between the two systems as well as Secs-Gem integration with the fab.
