Hello, I’m Aurora Gonzalez! I am passionate about social media, fashion, and beauty, I thrive in fast-paced dynamic environments where creativity meets strategic communication. I recently graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication with a focus in Public Relations & Advertising and a minor in Marketing. I stayed active in college, holding multiple leadership positions in organizations, including PRSSA, and the Marketing Club. I was a Staff Member for the past 2 Pose Fashion Club's Fashion Show, Garden of Eden and Pose 'N Screwed. I helped backstage and got to see a different side of fashion, it was such a cool experience. To further sharpen my skills, I attended student conferences and competitions. Notably, I participated in the HSI Battle of the Brains, a 24-hour campaign competition, showcasing my abilities to strategize and execute under tight timelines. I secured 1st place at the HubSpot Student Marketing Competition and 3rd place at the AAF Student Conference and Competition in Houston, demonstrating my commitment to staying on top of industry trends and continuously refining my skills in the PR/advertising and marketing fields. Beyond my academics, I actively maintain a presence on social media. I manage a YouTube channel where I express my personality and creativity in the realms of fashion, beauty, and lifestyle. Most recently, I uploaded a series of videos of my time studying fashion marketing abroad. I had the incredible opportunity to study abroad in London, Paris, Milan, and Florence, gaining invaluable insights from the fashion capitals of the world. Upon my return to the US, I began the search for an on-campus job that also involved fashion somehow. I joined the Department of Dance Costume Shop as a Studio Design Assistant, where I collaborate with costume designers, merging creativity with meticulous organization. My choice to work in the costume shop stems from a desire to grasp the basics of garment creation and clothing. This hands-on experience enriches my understanding, particularly as I aspire to enter the fashion PR and marketing realms, aiming to bring a comprehensive perspective to my future endeavors.
