Alongside my Co-Media Officer I will be responsible for all things Media, Marketing and Communications for the Auckland University Law Students’ Society. This includes:- Organising and producing the publications of AULSS, including but not limited to a law school magazine;- Being responsible and taking reasonable steps to ensure that the production costs of publications are met by advertising and sponsorship revenue- Meeting the agreed quantity of publications while maintaining quality- Maintaining and updating the Society’s website- Being responsible for promoting AULSS events and the general communication between AULSS and its members through avenues that include but are not limited to email, social and posters- Liaising with Equity Officers

As a Co-media Officer, I was in charge of the marketing and social media portfolio. This includes:- Creating marketing material, strategy and visual content for 4 social events (including the annual commerce ball) and 3 professional development events, including but not limited to tiktoks, posters, instagram reels, stories and posts- Created viral Instagram Reels with over 33K, 24.8K, 16K, 10K, 9K views (as of september 2024)- Creating marketing material and visual content for recruitment, orientation week and re-orientation week, including but not limited to posters, instagram stories and posts- Sending out email newsletter communications to all club members and creating sign up- Managing the tickets portal and analytics for the 2024 Commerce Ball; adjusting the marketing vision accordingly

- Volunteered at the 2024 Junior Youth Conference in Auckland, gathering postcard submissions from rangatahi aged between year 6 and year 8 on why they think addressing Climate Change is important- Collaborating with the advocacy team to plan and execute a campaign surrounding Climate Financing advocacy with the Climate Focus Group. The campaign will involve delivering 2,000 postcards from rangatahi across the motu to Parliament in November.

- Worked in collaboration with the advocacy and partnerships team to facilitate a collaboration between UN Youth NZ and the World Vision Advocacy Ambassadors team at Aotearoa Youth Declaration 2024- Led the outreach programme for the Environment rōpū Outreach is where students are able to interact with industry professionals on a topic related to their assigned focus group. For the environment rōpū, we highlighted the connection between Modern Slavery and Climate change, highlighting the delicate balance of social and environmental considerations in policy making as well as the importance of making sure that “the transition to being more environmentally sustainable shouldn’t come at the expense of people’s lives.”

- Participated in workshops and training sessions from World Vision Experts regarding leadership in the social justice sector- Volunteered at the 2023 Youth Conference in Auckland- Advocated for a Modern Slavery Bill in New Zealand; helped collect 300 letters from youth that was delivered to Parliament in May- Adopted Action Station’s “Triple the vote” campaign into an internal campaign for World Vision staff- Worked on a social-media project for COP28
