Following the acquisition of UberGlobal by Melbourne IT Group, I have become a technical resource providing planning, knowledge and guidance on how integrate UberGlobal's customers and services into the Melbourne IT brands and services.Key responsibilities have involved designing shared hosting solutions on top of AWS architecture, streamlining migration processes, migrating core services to new hardware, consolidating billing platforms for data integration on RDS (AWS).

Servers: Deploying/configuring/maintaining IBM & Dell servers both in Rack mount configurations and also in BladeCenter (H) configurations with various Ethernet, FC-SAN & OOB management modules.Hypervisors: Deployed/configured and maintain UberGlobal VMware infrastructureDesigned, deployed and configured Server 2008 & 2012 HyperV clusters to support thousands of shared infrastructure for our commodity hosting. Networking: Configuration and troubleshooting capability on Cisco, Juniper and Brocade routersAbility to configure complex load balancing configurations on F5 LTM’s. Also a sound knowledge of F5’s GTM configuration with proven results building geo-diverse and load balanced Exchange environments.Proven ability to react to threats utilising various tools such as routing, black holing and iRule packet manipulation/inspection.Configured/deployed and maintained redundant IronPort configuration (C-Series ESA’s and M-Series management appliances)Storage: Configured and maintained several IBM XIV’s (Gen2 + Gen3) and their supporting FC networks. Configured, deployed and maintained several IBM DS3000 range storage controllers + expansion trays to support lower tier storage.Configured, deployed, maintained and expanded a fully redundant (proven) Brocade SAN to support approximately 95% of the UberGlobal infrastructure (the rest being internal storage).Application: Deployed/Configured and maintained Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 & 2013 in a fully redundant, geo-load balanced environment to support thousands of clients. Expanded upon this capability to introduce DDoS protected routes into said environment utilising F5’s global topology capability. Maintained SharePoint 2010, Windows IIS, LAMP stack load balanced using LVS, qMail, Postfix and Exim. Heavy understanding and quick adaptation of Web Hosting panels such as cPanel and Plesk. Worked heavily with customer service departments to diagnose performance issues on HTTP based services.

Administer the AussieHQ, Jumba & Hosting Shop bands. Sucessfully deployed numerous IBM Blade Center H Chassis with VMware ESX 3.x / 4.xProvisioning several hundred VM's with a range of Linux & Windows servers. Migrated the entire Hosting Shop customer base to the AussieHQ server fleet spread across Sydney & Canberra.

Handled incoming calls from clients under the AussieHQ, Jumba & Hosting Shop brands.
