Designed, implemented, delivered, managed, and monitored Remote Access Technologies provisioned by the internal Microsoft IT team. In addition to service delivery, partnered with Tier 3 engineers and Product Group Developers to improve the quality of the Microsoft product. The main technologies used were VPN (PPTP, SSTP, IKEv2), NPS (RADIUS), NAP (Network Access Protection), Direct Access, UAG/TMG. Drove life-cycle management including: testing prior to deployment of pre-release Windows OS builds, filing bugs with the PG, and troubleshooting client side issues escalated to our team from lower support tiers. Worked closely with a globally diverse team to improve current services as well as continuing to advance to the latest version of each product.

Joined the NAP team (Network Access Protection / Quarantine Services) using Windows 2008 to provide full quarantine service, replacing RQS/RQC for VPN/RRAS internally to MS. Provided the solution as a showcase to sell a complete end-to-end solutions to external customers (the beginning of a cloud concept, also known as Microsoft Managed services, etc...). Worked with Microsoft development from alpha stages through RTM. Deployed the solution internally to all VPN services world wide, which enforced client machines to be fully patched with approved updates, and anti-virus installed and running with current signatures before full network access is approved. Built and designed hardware requirements for SQL back end to enable compliant/non compliant reports for all 78,000 remote users.

Tier 3 Infrastructure support Windows Server 2000, through 2008 R2 managing 300 VPN servers, 60 IAS/NPS servers, Deployed Win 2003, 2008 world wide to 50 different countries. Trained Tier 1 and Tier 2 Client side RAS tier 3 support Win 2000, XP and Vista. Deployed beta ver. IAS/NPS world wide to allow all Wireless AP's (Access Points) to 802.1x from wep key authentication method. Deployed smart-card certificate auth. for dial up and VPN remote clients, RADIUS auth for server side. Promoted to team lead and was point of contact for VPN, RADIUS and Metrics. Teamed with SQL engineering to get all RADIUS accounting logs into reportable database. Deployed quarantine services with 2003 RQS/RQC enforcing Microsoft approved clients. Deployed ISA 2003/2004 working directly with Haifa Israel development team to centrally manage VPN servers world wide. Wrote all TSG's and provided infrastructure training to tier 2 infrastructure support. Was technical lead for WPS (Windows Provisioning Service) and worked directly with Infosys India developers to provide a guest access wireless service for all Microsoft customer sites world wide. Traveled to Reading UK to build and deploy WPS for 10,000 person customer/developer expo included Win 2008, SQL 2005 deployment, NPS and WPS service

Responsible for smooth operation and maintenance of all Microsoft infrastructure in the South Pacific Region, including servers, storage, network devices, and telecommunications systems. Project Manager for all projects in the South Pacific Region in relation to infrastructure and networks. Responsible for the roll-out of Windows 2000 (from NT 4.0) throughout the South Pacific Region, and the roll-out of 'Platinum' (Exchange 2000). Installed and configured 100+ servers (Compaq) reducing server footprint by consolidating and retiring old hardware, bringing the region into Y2K and Win2000 standards. Led the Y2K project throughout the South Pacific Region to ensure all systems were updated and functional during and after the Y2K cut-over. Successfully installed a 500 KVA generator for Microsoft's main campus in Australia for readiness of the Y2K rollover period
