CurrentI was initially hired to modernize drafting practices by implementing 3d modeling techniques resulting in lowered costs, fewer errors, and quicker production of facility As-builts. The success of this methodology caused the clients to adopt it as their default company standard.Eventually, I began applying this technique in the preliminary group as well on new construction projects and/or hydrotests for natural gas pipelines and facilities. Responsible for creating 3d model and complete drawing packages inclusive of Cover/Index/References, Site Plans, Piping Plan/Sections/Details, Temporary workspace drawings, Property plats, Site location maps, Hydrostatic testing diagrams, Test Profiles, P&ID/PFD, Pipeline Diagram, Bill of material, Electrical Grounding & Conduit details.Other responsibilities:• Gather and review documentation required to As-built modified facilities or create an existing conditions model for preliminary use.• Create and maintain drafting standards that satisfy our client's varying needs. • Develop custom AutoCAD commands & Plant 3D components.• provide digital content for our company's social media platforms. • assist in recruiting/testing/hiring/training new employees.• Review/check, provide man-hour estimates on prospective projects, CAD Management, and other general tasks as needed.
