Management level position, overseeing the day to day responsibilities in co-ordinating large scale projects with multiple artists and clients, negotiating price scales for the public, handling capital investments for the shop, purchasing equiptment, supplies and materials from wholesale distributers as well as marketing goods for retail level sales. Scheduled all client/employee appointments. Restocked sterilization supplies and maintained the instruments and autoclave.Handled staff payroll transactions and managed all accounts payable/recievable.Basically all responsibilities involved in managing the operation and supervision of an entire tattoo studio and staff.

Set client appointments, tattooed freehand, portraits, tribal, oldskool, traditional, fineline, newskool, bio-mech, calligraphy, and lettering. I doubled as a piercing artist because I enjoyed the challenge involved in placing the barbell or hoop, in exactly the right place. But mainly, I worked with large 100% custom designs and freehand, one-off pieces tailored to the client's specific criteria. Specializing in black & grey realism, I would often remain busy throughout the week with repeat customers or clients looking for entire sleeves in the same style. In fact these latenight/weekday sessions became both, the reason I was first entrusted with shop keys, and the factor that convinced me tattooing could be a full-time profession, not just another way to make a little scratch.
