Work as the office model-maker at the New York office of Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects. In this role, I work on every project at the office, building massing models, presentation models, site models, detail models, larger mockups, and virtual reality experiences. Using the available tools, primarily a laser-cutter, Z-printer, and wood shop, I have built models for over a dozen projects. Materials typically include acrylic, wood, styrene, foam, paper, and talc-based 3D prints.

St. Louis, Mo

Worked as an architectural designer, furniture designer, and wood & metal fabricator at design-build firm Mademan Design. Across the six months I worked there before being laid off in a firm reorganization, I worked on the architectural design of several single-family houses, and the design and fabrication of various funiture pieces. The fabrication included welding and finishing steel armatures, building and finishing wood tops and details, delivery, and installation of furniture.

Greater New York City Area

Worked for Santiago Calatrava's New York office for 3 years as a designer, fabricator, model-maker and shop manager. My responsibilities were extremely vaired over the years. Mainly, I worked with and eventually led a team designing and fabricating large wood and brass sculpture prototypes using CNC machining mixed with traditional woodwoorking. Based on these prototypes, I also managed the design, fabrication, approvals process, installation and deinstallation of a series of larger aluminum sculptures displayed on Park Avenue in NYC. Additionally, I designed and built architectural models and 1:1 scale mockups of facades and details. I also worked significantly in 3D and parametric design for various projects, assisted in 2D drawings for projects, worked with watercolor painting, built furniture, and managed early experiments in virtual reality as a design and presentation tool

New York

Worked as an intern, designer and fabricator for parametric design firm Marc Fornes and THEVERYMANY. My responsiblities were primairly in managing the full design process of large architectural-scale installations made from thin sheets of aluminum. I managed the early stages of parametric design and scripting, design development, 2D representation, and the creation of cut sheets for multiple projects. I also worked with the assembly and installation of these projects on-site.

Worked as a lab monitor at Washington University's digital fabrication lab. I operated the school's 4-axis CNC mill and thermoforming equipment, assisting other students with machining and fabricating works in wood, plastic, metal, and foam. I also worked with a number of faculty members,visiting architects and artists to fabricate sculptures and architectural installations.

Greater St. Louis Area

Worked a shop monitor in Washington University's wood and metal shop. I managed the cleaning and upkeep of a full shop and instructed students on the safe use of equipment. I also worked in repairing and fabricating various pieces of furniture around the School of Architecture as needed.
