I received 12 months of didactic education from some of the best medical professionals in the field. I Then received 12 months of clinical experience from 8 rounds of 6 week rotations at all different hospitals, surgery centers, medical offices and emergency departments across the Chicagoland area. My clinical rotation specialties included family medicine, emergency medicine, obstetrics/gynecology, internal medicine, psychiatry, general surgery, vascular surgery and pediatrics. While attending RFU I acted as the program representative for the Illinois state legislative body, the Illinois Association of Physician Assistants (IAPA).

Perform scribing for doctors during visit to efficiently document and finish notes.● Anticipate any devices, literature, equipment, lab tests or diagnostic imaging the patient may require for the visit and have them ready for the doctor’s use.● Create custom made orthotics using the Podiatech H Lab orthotics generator and thermoform a specialized insole to specifically fit each individual foot of the patient. As a patient Service Representative at Mizzou Quick Care I am apart of a 2 person team consisting of my position and the medical provider, usually an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or a Physician Assistant (PA). With such a small team working to see 35+ patients a day, we must use great teamwork to accomplish this goal in an effective and timely manner. My main duties are to check patients in for their medical visit, ensure patient demographics and insurance information are up to date, take patient vital signs and get a general description of why they have come to the clinic, run Point of Care lab tests such as rapid Strep, rapid Flu, urinalysis testing and pregnancy testing, and other clerical work such as patient records and receiving/returning patient phone calls.
