I am a Nanotechnology Engineering student at the Univsersity of Waterloo. I've had a diverse range of experiences from lab research, machining and prototyping, design with CAD and software from hackathons and personal projects. In my first position researching water purification, I designed from scratch a lab procedure and setup to test the electrochemical oxidative power of varying electrode materials. For my most recent position at the Institute for Quantum Computing, my main projects included for designing and building a custom laser, and designing optical objectives using standard parts to be used in Ion traps. I've also found success in software and hardware as a prize winner at the MakeUofT Hackathons. My projects included a computer vision parking spot detector, and a smart mirror that detects individuals.A broad skillset and flexible thinking has gives me confidence in finding unique solutions to problems I encounter. I look forward to applying my skills to further research in science and exploring data science and machine learning.
