Being a smaller, 38-room property, staffing is, of course, limited. With the exception of the maintenance department, the hotel's basic daily operations (housekeeping management, reservations, reception, concierge, and the night audit) are, in their entirety, managed equitably by a small team of three people (the General Manager, the Innkeeper, and myself); however, I am, on a weekly basis, tasked with managing the hotel, and it's daily operations, alone. While I do share additional responsibilities, such as maintaining relations with our OTA account managers, participation in bi-weekly revenue strategy conferences, online PR upkeep, and drafting the occasional work schedule, my primary focus is revenue management--the installation, parity monitoring, and adjustment of our rates in accordance with local market demand. The software and systems utilized at this property are as follows: IQware (PMS), SiteMinder (Channel Manager), Sabre/SynXis (GDS), and Tambourine (CRS/Booking Engine).

I was solely responsible for the evening management of a 119-room, Forbes 4-Star rated, AAA 4-Diamond endorsed, boutique hotel. My responsibilities and job skills included, but were not strictly limited to, the following: advanced operational knowledge and management of the hotel's PMS (Opera), the understanding and management of the hotel's CRS (iHotelier), the management and utilization of OTA extranets (such as Expedia, Booking.com, Hotel Tonight, etc.), the reception and processing of FIT reservations, the management of the hotel's property inventory (at the PMS, CRS, and OTA levels), the accounting and balancing of corporate business ledgers, guest conflict resolution and compensation, and inter-departmental communication and cooperation.Endorsements:- I was instrumental in the earning of the hotel's Forbes 4-star rating for 2016 as I took the initial reservation call, and two in-house calls, from the Forbes auditor.

I was responsible for a variety of tasks; however, the most frequent, and important, were: assisting guests with local/property orientation, luggage transportation upon arrival to the resort, performing various deliveries to the rooms of guests, and operating a shuttle service which took guests to and from the resort property, airport, and various locations on the island.

I was responsible for maintaining the site grounds on which my coworkers spent their day. While they erected structures, it was my responsibility to perpetuate communication between the entire team, as to keep debris and, other safety hazards, out of the work area. I was also mutually responsible for ensuring that OSHA regulations were not violated.

I was responsible for general maintenance of the pool/beach/spa area, as well as providing guests with: an accurate property/local orientation, access to resort recreational amenities, and additionally requested assistance.

I was responsible for organizing upwards of hundreds of files per day, and contacting patients in regard to appointment scheduling. This included file-content discarding based on a physical patient quota. This position was, for the most part, a secluded, initiative-based job; however, it was also, at times, a highly socially integrated job.
