A deeply committed individual who cares about protecting the law and the lives of the citizens around me. I am a community-driven fast-reactor and good pressure handler. My colleagues describe me as someone who is quick to answer an emergency call and who will do everything it takes to prevent crime. Building trust among my colleagues comes naturally to me and people around me.I began my Law Enforcement career in September of 2016 10 days after my biggest influencer died in the line of duty. I have worked hard to excel and make that officer proud ever since that day. I graduated from the New Mexico Law Enforcement Academy located in Santa Fe, New Mexico in May of 2017. I held positions as Patrol Officer, K-9 Officer, Field Training Officer and currently Detective. I found passion in training several topics including mental health and medical training. I am active in training various topics for advanced training and continuing education for my agency and others throughout the State of New Mexico. I am one of the founders of the Crisis Intervention Team Program at the Alamogordo Police Department and am currently working to start a Peer Support Program within my agency as well. The Crisis Intervention TeamProgram has trained numerous law enforcement personnel, fire service personnel, behavioral health professionals, security personnel and others throughout the State of New Mexico. I hold training certifications for Crisis Intervention Team Member, Crisis Intervention Train the Trainer (master instructor) and a New Mexico Law Enforcement Academy Specialized Instructor in Crisis ResponseWhile volunteering as a firefighter for the La Luz Volunteer Fire Department in La Luz, New Mexico I found my love for the medical field. I attended the EMT-Basic course in 2015 and brought this education to my law enforcement career.I later published and obtained accreditation from the New Mexico Law Enforcement Academy for a unique training program titled Bleeding Control and Field Trauma for Police Officers. This course was founded in the principal of TCCC/TECC and teaches life saving training to Law Enforcement Officers. I hold certifications for Basic Tactical Medicine Instructor, Stop the Bleed Instructor and New Mexico Law Enforcement Academy Bleeding Control Instructor. I strive to continue learning every day and hold the oath I took very close to my heart. I strive to build better relationships with the public and strengthen my agencies relationship with the community. I continue to try and grow within my career and hope to become a leader in this field.
