As a Cybersecurity Advisory Associate at KPMG, my passion for bridging the gap between cybersecurity and business strategy allowed me to help clients navigate the complex and evolving cyber landscape. Within my first year of work, I led a workstream aimed at optimizing account analysis processes, overseeing the onboarding of privileged accounts into CyberArk and helping to develop a privileged account exceptions process. I also leveraged my technical skills in Identity & Access Management and cybersecurity foundations to customize and develop over 150 enterprise IAM processes across Identity Governance & Administration, Privileged Access Management, and Access Management Domains, working with cross-functional temas to validate, refine, and align IAM program processes. I was also able to improve my strategic skills by working with client stakeholders to build out a IAM program roadmap, along with a program governance model, ultimately enhancing the organization's security posture. Before beginning my career at KPMG, I graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics, where I developed a strong analytical and quantitative background that complements my passion for cybersecurity and technology. As a Security Operations Center intern, I was able to dive even further into my curiosity around cybersecurity and make a real impact on customers facing cyber challenges through creating user friendly documentation and resolving/triaging tickets. I also gained valuable teaching and communication skills as a Teaching Assistant for a fundamental statistics course for graduate students. I am constantly seeking out ways to continue my learning in the more technical aspects of cybersecurity, recently acquiring 2 Microsoft certifications and working towards my Security + certification, as well as my professional development, recognizing the importance of effective communication in successful outcomes.
