In this position I assist in monitoring lake and river flows in the province. I have been given a lot of responsibility in this task. I am able to perform these measurements without the supervision of my superior. In this position I have learned a lot of new technical skills that will assist me in future employment.Assigned tasks:- Use differential leveling to take water levels on water bodies- Download logger data from water sensors- Take flow measurements of rivers - Data management using excel and publishing data on the online software called AquariusTechnical Skills:- I am able to use a rod and level to take measurements. I understand and am able to perform turning points- Use a flow tracker to take flow measurements of a river- Add data into excel - Publish excel data in online software called Aquarius

I worked in this role for two 4 month periods. Our main focus was surveying using satellite correction GPS. I helped survey numerous provincial drains and dams while I was there. I also assisted my co-workers with stop log dam maintenance and operation. I gained lots of practical knowledge in this position.Assigned tasks:- Set up Differential GPS Base on given control points- Perform cross sections of the desired terrain using the DGPS- Installed new control points to be used in the future- Removed and reinstalled stop logs in dams

In this position, I worked in the warehouse organizing pallets of product and on the store floor stocking shelves, running through purchases and assisting customers. I gained lots of experience working with people and improved my communication skills.
