I am currently working as a Lead Specialist - Training and continuous improvement trainer with a certification in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt for dsm-firmenich. I have successfully implemented new training systems and solutions for our production operations teams in Wisconsin. This role lets me follow my passions for problem solving by allowing me to coordinate and facilitate successful Kaizen events for our food manufacturing teams as well as teach lean tools like A3 methodology. Beyond my everyday responsibilities, I am also a Co-Lead for our LGBTQIA+ ERG in North America. As a member of the community myself, I think it is critical to ensure others have the same opportunities that I have had to work in an accepting and equitable workplace. I lead a team that plans events, celebrates the LGBTQIA+ community, educates our worksites across North America on important issues, and connects employees who are LGBTQIA+ or allies together.Within dsm-firmenich, I am also a co-lead for our regional Culture Network. We lead a team that is successfully sharing our company’s Values and Behaviors with our 50+ sites in North America. Personally, I value bringing people together and driving us toward our shared goals of progress and sustainability.I come from a strong science background, with 6 years of quality experience with dsm-firmenich and a master’s degree in bacteriology from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. All this has informed who I am today.
