I am a Planner with the City of Pittsburgh for the Hazelwood, Glen Hazel, Greenfield, Regent Square, Swisshelm Park, and 31st Ward neighborhoods. In this role, I work to create resilient, sustainable, and accessible communities for all people by ensuring community voice is at the forefront of all development projects.I have a Master’s of Science degree in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College, with a concentration in Smart Communities. During my time at CMU, I interned as a research assistant for the University, working with the National Institute for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) to identify best practices for implementing cybersecurity education in public administration programs.In 2021, I was selected as Leadership for Educational Equity’s (LEE) Elected Leadership Fellow. As a fellow, I worked with the Vince Andrews’ for Baltimore Campaign as Digital Outreach Director.From 2019-2021 I served as a corps member with Teach for America (TFA), and taught Chemistry and Anatomy as the head science teacher at Douglass High School in Oklahoma City. During this time, I was selected to serve as one of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Chairs on TFA’s Corps Member Advisory Board and was a member of the Faculty Advisory Board at DHS.
