I am a driven and naturally curious problem solver. Throughout my life, I have found myself wondering how things work, and have pushed myself to find the answers. This has resulted in a pull towards engineering education and project experiences that scratch that exploratory itch. My innovative mindset has provided an affinity for thinking through situations and making plans to follow through, leading to a history of successful team projects. I believe I am a strong candidate for positions in many different fields, in particular positions involving solid mechanic analysis, economical engineering design, and collaborative problem solving. Specific to engineering, through my academic project work I have developed abilities in 3-D design and modeling. In my time at Applied Research Labs, I have fully experienced the design process, from analysis of constraints of a particular engineering problem to the construction of the final product. I was the primary designer of a fully stainless steel structure that preformed a variety of tasks underwater, all while holding a constant load in excess of 500 pounds. At Architectural Wall Systems, I honed my knowledge of fabrication design and solid mechanics with a specific application towards aluminum glazing systems on commercial and residential projects across the country. I worked with a team of extremely talented engineers and designers to work through challenging and time sensitive issues, all while being a major contributing factor to the development of standards and practices still being utilized by new staff.I am excited for what the future holds for my engineering career, including any opportunities to expand my knowledge of effective engineering design.
