I am a Texas A&M University graduate who recently entered the utility industry as an analyst with 1898 & Co., a subsidiary of Burns & McDonnell. With the acceleration of change in the world of energy, I am grateful to be in a position where I am both constantly learning from industry experts who share their prior knowledge/experience, and on the frontier of innovation in grid modernization. Within 1 year of being an analyst, I have already been exposed to utility projects that address large-scale equipment/device upgrades, infrastructure security, solar impacts to the grid, resiliency for distribution and transmission circuits, and automation in regard to data collection and model analysis.Outside of my professional experience, I am passionate about history, current affairs, domestic and foreign policy, developing technologies, and storytelling (particularly in the form of reading, but also includes movies, television, documentaries, dungeons and dragons, and podcasts). I enjoy discovering new topics and diving deep into them, even if only for a brief period. For example, I recently built a vermicompost on my apartment balcony as a fun way to produce fertilizer. Additionally, the overlap of my professional work with the utility industry and my personal interest in policy provides further insight and context on the work that I do. This allows for two results: I understand the significance of the projects I complete at a large-scale perspective, and I can use my breadth of exposure with relevant topics to bring further insights to the team.Feel free to reach out to me directly through LinkedIn or through the various forms of communication posted here.
