My fascination in IT and cybersecurity began in my early teens after falling victim to my first malware infection on an Acer laptop. As an individual who enjoys analyzing how devices work through reverse-engineering and improving upon them, curiosity led me to pursue understanding PCs on a fundamental level through assembly and taking them apart. In time, I sharpened my system administration skills with every version of Windows released and hardened my devices with best security practices in preventing malware infection. Knowing there was passion behind my efforts, I followed through with a Bachelor of Science Cybersecurity program and graduated with a 4.0 GPA. My deliverables were nothing short of high-quality and never late.Coursework highlights include:Procedures on implementation of a secure wireless network using Active Directory and a RADIUS server-• Active Directory and the procedures of setting up a Network Policy to implement a secure wireless network using the RADIUS client-server protocol to authenticate users within an AD environment. Active Directory and Public Key Infrastructure-• Defining PKI as the policies, procedures, people, software and hardware used to provide security to network communications through cryptography and digital certificates including how Active Directory can use PKI to authenticate and authorize subjects as well as providing non-repudiation.Simulations using Splunk to monitor, capture, and analyze large amounts of data in assisting investigations and threat detection-• Detailed procedures of data input such as event logs and firewall logs into Splunk for processing as well as querying specific events, usage of Sigma rules, and the configuration of alerts.Network and web application vulnerability discovery with Tenable Nessus-• Installation of Nessus, UI navigation, performing customized scans and reviewing findings in detail. Cybersecurity is a concept often overlooked when possessing a great deal of value in assets. My objective is to support companies with best security practices and procedures while continuing to grow in an ever-changing industry.
