• Catalogued and sorted an assemblage of ~30,000 individual artifacts with ~3,500 lot numbers from the 2019-2021 Odyssey excavations at the San Esteban Rockshelter in Presidio County, Texas.• Processing duties included, but were not limited to: debitage cleaning, osteological analysis and cleaning, historic artifact cleaning, organic artifact cleaning and care (hide/fur, macrobotanicals, quids, coprolites, woven grass floors, woven lechuguilla sandals, etc.),and the care and proper storage of prehistoric human skeletal remains.• Proper measurement, weighing, and identification of artifacts was of utmost importance, requiring extreme attention to detail for catalog accuracy.• Conducted deeper independent research into historic artifacts in order to provide diagnostic date ranges.

• Assisted in the online popular science magazine Scandinavian Archaeology’s publications.• Composed 2-3 short social media posts per month, authored one long article every 1-2 months, and proofread and edited grammar and syntax of social media posts and articles submitted to the magazine.• Required a high level of discipline and self-determination required to meet deadlines set by Editor-in-Chief.

• Acted as a Field Supervisor (one of two, each having a 5-person team) for the 5-week 2019 Gotland Archaeological Field School. Excavations were conducted on two Iron Age sites, one being a seasonal settlement area and the other an inhumation grave.• Instructional duties: oversaw and instructed students on proper excavation methodology, promoted team cohesion, ensured the students excavated at an even stratigraphy throughout the trench, directed proper field documentation of artifacts and features, and guided students on the drawing of profiles or plans.• Took daily theodolite measurements and instructed students during the process, helping with excavation when needed, and conducting surveys of surrounding areas for potential future excavation sites.• Responsible for coordinating and assisting with team’s post-excavation lab work and documentation.• Gave a lecture detailing Norse ritual sites, how they can be detected archaeologically, what can/cannot be accepted as evidence for such sites, and examples of texts and artifacts corroborating ritual sites.

• 10-week archaeological field course: five weeks as part of a team of master’s students excavating a hill-fort on Gotland. For the following five weeks, the master’s students supervised groups of 4-5 undergraduate students during excavations of stone-settings at an Iron Age grave field on Gotland.• Instructed undergraduate students on excavation tool usage, excavation methodologies and strategies, and helped them develop their competence in the processes of stratigraphic, contextual excavation and rigorous digital documentation. Demonstrated plan and profile drawing techniques for students as well as section-cutting post-holes for profile documentation.• Further honed personal excavation skills, and received training on the following: total station mapping of artifacts and features with point-objects or polygons; the basics of drone photography and its applications for archaeological and geological mapping; and 3D modeling of excavation trenches through layering of multiple high-resolution photographs.
