Austin is snowflake specialist/data engineering consultant within Fortescue Energy’s (previously FFI) data & analytics practice with 6 year’s industry experience.Austin is working alongside the electrolyser stack and membrane assembly teams to load, transform and visualise prototype testing data to drive more informed decision making. This will allow our engineering teams to better understand the performance of the electrolysers being tested and how we can drive the costs down to achieve our stretch goal of a real 0 2030.Austin was previously working with Fortescue’s environmental operations team to better leverage their Envirosys source systems ability to drive more meaningful reporting decision making.Austin likes to be known as a 'purple person' consultant, blending his technical data engineering background with his ability to communicate effectively and lead small delivery teams. Austin has had over 2 years experience at Fortescue working in snowflake/HVR/AWS/Tableau/Matillion/Envirosys/SEEQ/Power BI to deliver business facing, automated reporting solutions.Austin's ability to effectively use JIRA/Devops and be a lead 'ways of working' enthusiast, whilst hosting daily stand ups and driving delivery discussions has given him a rare blend of technical/people/management skill set. Prior to joining FMG, Austin was with the Deloitte’s data & analytics team for 4 years as a consultant and team leader for data modelling and data visualisation (Tech skills: Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Snowflake. Soft skills: stakeholder management, effective communicator, positive team player).Austin has a passion to surface data insights that add tangible value and drive more informed decision making.Austin Graduated with an undergraduate degree in actuarial and applied statistics with a CWA above 90%.
