This included working with the sales team in pre-sales and re-sign activities, building relationships with our customers, assigning engineers who could deliver the required capabilities of the clients, and acting as a point of escalation for relationship and delivery issues. I coached the team leads on identifying technical solutions for business outcomes, and how to architect and prioritize those technical solutions – which included automated CI/CD Pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, automated High Availability and Disaster Recovery, automated cost control of cloud resources, etc.• Managed a team of over 20 engineers with 6 direct reportsManaged the development and growth of engineers and team leads within the organization. This involved everything from weekly and monthly coaching meetings to end of year performance reviews and performance improvement plans. I also coached and developed my direct reports in the management of their engineers, including the responsibilities listed.

• Technical Lead for 2 teams Led 2 simultaneous engagements, managing 6 engineers, for an enterprise client of Cloudreach. This included running the agile framework to track and drive work, owning the relationship with key stakeholders for each engagement, identified and architected the solution for improvement work, coached my engineers on DevOps technology and best practices, and delivered on project work to increase velocity.• Drove cultural improvements for a global workforce with Lead TeamDrove initiatives to increase communication, collaboration and visibility across a globally distributed team with other Leads. These initiatives were wide in scope as they involved synchronous and asynchronous ways of bringing engineers across North America and Europe into a single cohesive group. Some examples include guidelines for an asynchronous global standup, standard ways of working for all engagements, proper reporting for team SLAs, and global team building exercises.

• Created Automated CICD Pipeline for Microservices Architecture on AWSUsing Jenkins, GitHub, Artifactory and AWS Resources (ECS, ALB, Route53, etc.) I created a CICD pipeline for a Microservices Application. This pipeline would enable automated builds and deployments into an ECS Environment run from a single Jenkins Job, triggered manually by a developer or from a GitHub Pull Request. This increased the productivity of the application developers, by creating an automated solution to building and deploying code.• Migrated Applications from Private Data Centers to AWSAs part of the Capital One initiative to migrate to the AWS cloud, I handled the migration of 5 applications from beginning to end. This included customer facing and internal applications and were built on Apache and Tomcat servers running on the Red Hat enterprise OS. I wrote the CFTs, Chef scripts, and Jenkins Jobs that created the infrastructure for each app to be HA, DR, and allow for Blue Green deployments for an always on philosophy. This included using the following AWS services – EC2 Instances, Load Balancers, Auto Scaling Groups, VPC – Security Groups and NACLs, Route53, Cloud Front, S3, and AWS CLI. Other technologies used to support this infrastructure is Nexus, Chef, GitHub, and Jenkins.• Taught AWS Solution Architect Certification TrainingAfter getting my AWS Solutions Architect Certification I taught a 16-week, 1-hour course to help other tech associates get their certification. This covered all topics necessary to get certified including best online resources, practice quizzes and exams, and other AWS best practices.

• Developed Automation Framework using Cucumber and SeleniumCapital One Auto Finance made an effort to transition their automation testing to adhere to ATDD standards by using Cucumber and Selenium. I took the necessary training and created a framework that would allow all of the Loan Originations Department to automate their regression and integration testing. The framework included UI, database, web service, file manipulation, and reporting automation to allow extensive end to end testing.• Developed a Decision Engine using Java Spring FrameworkAssisted in developing a decision engine built using the Java Spring Framework. This project was developed with multiple teams using Git as the Source Code control, and a Cassandra backend.• Supported Scrum team in all testing efforts Attended to all necessary responsibilities for my Scrum team including: attending all meetings, participating in grooming to ensure stories were ready for work, creating test cases, executing test cases, and working with business partners to ensure delivery of business intent.
