About Austin Kinzer
As a skier from the Pacific Northwest, I take climate change personally. Declining snowpacks and record-breaking wildfires are an imminent threat to the mountains I call home. Since 2020, I have focused on agrivoltaics and the energy-water-food nexus, specializing in irradiance modeling for agrivoltaic systems and decarbonization of agriculture. In my current role at the American Farmland Trust, I am working to advance farmer-centric agrivoltaics projects and ensure that rural communities benefit from the transition to clean energy.
