I took over the client database, staff and business of Terry Rogers Telebetting and rebranded it BetRogers bookmakers, a small niche bookmaker serving private, internet and trade clients with an efficient and customer centred service. I owned and operated the call centre in which we handled and processed our client’s calls and bets, and managed the businesses ongoing betting liabilities as they arose each day. I aquired John J Fogarty credit bookmakers in late 2009, and oversaw the integration of their database to ours, and ensured that the high levels of customer care and personal touch at John J Fogarty were maintained and improved upon. I successfully integrated the final phase, where we rebranded the John J Fogarty business with my own brand BetRogers in 2011.

I had a varied role with Terry Rogers group, from joing in 1993, I helped build the business from a small base, with just two staff, to a much larger operation with a staff of 15.During my time at Terry Rogers I oversaw the installation and implementation of the computerised betting system, engaging with the suppliers of hardware and software, in addition to the outside IT consultants who helped to build out internal network.Another of my roles was staff training, I wrote and implemented all staff training, ensuring that the staff processed each call correctly and efficiently and also made sure that we had the highest standards of quality control. My roles included odds compiling on Irish racing, Soccer, UK Racing, GAA, Rugby. In addition I was in charge of the liability control for the entire Terry Rogers group, call centre and Nationwide shop estate.

My father was a leading on course bookmaker in Ireland during the 1970's to 1990's, during my time working with him on course, I assisted him in his operation, including client liaison, cash control, accounts and book keeping, this was a very busy time for on course bookmakers, and required quick mental agility in calculating odds and liabilities, managing the odds and ensuring the efficient operation of the business.
