As a Social Media intern for the Oxford House of Music I initiated the use of Twitter for the business. This was a storefront, a music education center and a newly opened recording studio. The goal of the social media marketing was to promote the business and recording studio and increase awareness throughout the Oxford community. Not only did I use Twitter but, with posters designed and printed by the owners, I sought to place these in as many highly visible and appropriate areas of town. By the end of the internship we did not have a huge following on Twitter but I had made sure the business account followed other community businesses to get those people aware of the Oxford House of Music.
