Austin Seltzer is as rare as they come. An industrious producer and mixer dedicated to making an impact on the world, Austin uses his distinct vision to help musicians produce a fuller, more immersive sound experience. After graduation, Austin moved from Dallas to Nashville to attend The Blackbird Academy. While a student at The Blackbird Academy, Austin enjoyed mentorship from some of the most outstanding audio engineers and producers in the world, such as Vance Powell, Dave Pensado, Andrew Scheps, and Jacquire King. After completing the program, Austin relocated to Los Angeles, where he continued honing his craft under some of the most prolific music engineers of the 21st century, working on projects in all genres ranging from indie artists to global superstars. He soon began a freelance career as a trailer and television music composer placing many custom tracks before becoming a full-time composer, sound designer, music producer, and mixing and mastering engineer. His credits multiplied with over 1,000 mainstream tracks mixed for publishers, artists, and record labels, as well as hundreds of placements in major movie trailers, video game trailers, television shows, and promotional spots. By the time 2020 rolled around, he had worked on countless projects boasting billions of streams, millions of YouTube views, platinum certifications, and award-winning albums. The impact Austin has already made on the world at such a young age is remarkable. Yet, with the launch of his new studio, Seltzer Sounds, his vision for the future is even fuller than the sound he produces. With 10+ years of professional audio training combined with his unparalleled approach to mixing music to establish a more immersive sound, Austin has positioned Seltzer Sounds as a medium to continue his work with clients and champion others in the music industry with professional knowledge and growth. He realizes the generosity he received as an up-and-coming engineer and vows to continue doing the same for the next generation. Austin has partnered with online instructing powerhouse, Evenant, to share his proprietary technique “M.A.S.T.E.R. the Mix,” which provides audio engineers a structured framework for mixing tracks at an elite level. In addition, he is working on a how-to book that will be available in 2022.
