I interned with Young Entrepreneurs Across America to learn the skills of running and managing a painting branch with Student Painters while in college. As a Branch Manager with Student Painters I developed core management skills from oversight management, time-keeping, and working under pressure, to payroll processing and customer relations/satisfaction. I worked to market and generate leads myself for which I managed sales and budgeting. I learned ways to recruit and hire employees for production teams and provided in field management for maintaining and executing budgets. other non-management based skills I learned were general exterior painting and staining for houses, decks, and other small projects. Student Painters allowed me the opportunity to hone and shed light on core workforce skills I am capable of while still in college and given my current amount of work history, which has tapped in to new growth and confidence I thought I never had.

At Brookdale, I worked as a receptionist, server, housekeeper, and sometimes with maintenance. As a receptionist I was the face of the building to any visitors or clients that called or walked in. on a day to day basis, I worked to maintain efficiency, organization, and flow in the office, providing a neat and supportive work environment for the administration. I worked to make every possible moment a positive experience for residents and their family members, as well as the staff and incoming leads. Brookdale provided me the opportunity to develop skills in administrative/clerical duties as well as trusting me to work unsupervised. As I developed proficiency in the office, I learned the ins and outs of each department in order to fill in where help was needed. Brookdale harnessed the care and diligence I put into my work by providing me with more responsibility in becoming a vital part of the team.
