I am a co-founding partner at Activate, a digital startup studio helping entrepreneurs build their business into a viable, investor-ready prospect. At Activate I work with selected startups providing design mentorship, and helping them to design their business model, strategy, and product. This is done using a combination of business and product design methods, such as, Value Proposition Design, Impact Mapping, and User Journey Mapping, to deliver solutions that help them achieve their business goals.Then with my small team of product designers, we craft product ideas, create development roadmaps, build prototypes, run user tests, and perform usability studies all with the aim of creating the best product possible. So, I am always on the lookout for the next big innovation in design software or front-end development frameworks to improve the speed of our prototyping but always encourage the team to start with a pencil, paper, and a great idea. In an industry that develops at a rapid pace, I have developed a strong belief that effective digital design stems from having an open and creative mind and being in a state of constant learning.
