This position worked independently as the sole IT Engineer for the McLaren IndyCar program, while working directly with the McLaren IT team in Europe to facilitate data transfer between US and EU operations. Triaging technical incidents under significant time constraints. Managing all facets of the Home Office IT, as well as the Trackside network and data during races. All technical contracts, partners, and costs are vetted through this position. It is expected to be the project lead on all matters and represent the company’s technical interests at events and media.· Project Management: Project lead on all IT partnerships, contracts, and vendors. Negotiating and presenting contracts to the executive team. Design and Implement budget and project goals including an entire Network and Server Infrastructure rebuild. Lead a corporate team of Verizon engineers to test new Cellular technology.· Security: Implementing password policies and guarding high value admin credentials. Onboarding and offboarding sensitive information regarding employee’s personal data, and confidential business data. Partner with Pondurance to allow for greater threat detection and prevention at a Network level.· Network: Configure Meraki SD-WAN to combine Track and Home Office sites. Utilize Verizon partnership on behalf of McLaren Engineers travelling overseas. Maintain continuity at both the Home Office and Track switches and Wi-Fi. This position was located on the Network Infrastructure Team to be the primary engineer in resolving systems and network issues nationally across 200 branch locations. At a security level, this role filtered risky logins inside of Azure AD, ran lead all aspects email security such as ATP; including Safe Attachments, Safe Links, and Impersonation protection, wireless security via Cisco wireless controllers, and server access security. At a network level, this role was on a 2-man team that oversaw all servers, both virtual (VMWare) and physical, two data centers, over 200 branches network cabinets, and a home office. This role constantly evaluated for new technologies, services, and configurations.· Security: Implemented ATP across the company nationally and became the lead on all email security issues. Including Safe Attachment policies, Safe Link Policies, ATP Impersonation Policies, Email Header analysis, Content Search analysis, fraudulent email deletion, Admin audit logs for viruses’, malware, and spam. Admin for all aspects of Network security including Switches, Wi-fi, and Firewall.· Network: Switch Configurations including VLAN creating, trunking, and tagging ports. Configuration of DHCP Scopes, installation and configuration of Cisco Wireless Access Points, ANIRA Backup Solutions, all network traffic to and from AT&T firewall and to FinishMaster owned Data Centers.· Project Management: Leading a national project on installation of ANIRA wireless backup solutions across all branches. The primary objective of an IT Support Engineer is to provide end-user support for all IT related needs. Reporting directly to the Network Administrator providing a unique learning environment requiring excellent communication.
