I graduated last spring '15 from M.I.T. with a B.S. in Brain and Cognitive Sciences. I've worked in MIT's Brain and Cognitive Sciences department doing research on mapping the human brain in Dr. Sebastian Seung's lab and on an optogenetic experiment on visual attention in mice in Dr. Mriganka Sur's lab. After graduating, I now work as a research assistant full time in Dr. Martha Constantine-Paton's molecular neurobiology lab, working with a strain of mice called Flailer. Flailer mice have a genetic defect that causes a malformation of the Myosin Va protein, leading to extreme anxiety and seizures in the mice when they're young. However, at around 30 days old, 100% of the Flailer mice stop seizing. This strain of mice may hold clues to treating a number of diseases, including epilepsy.

Research shows Suboxone treatment reduces mortality from opiate addiction by 50%. I conduct mass spectrometry urinalysis on patient samples and meet and consult with patients on their progress.
