I am a second-year transfer student at Indiana University of Bloomington currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Clinical Psychology with the hopes of achieving a doctorate post graduation. My previous education and background in business has provided me with a solid foundation, with extensive time spent in business software coursework and applications. My ability to adapt to the demands of different occupations and disciplines is my most valuable asset, and has afforded me the ability to succeed in a variety of areas. The skills that I learned and have carried with me include proficiency in Microsoft Access and Excel, system programming languages such as SQL, and graphic design. I bring experience in engineering where I used skills in data analysis and my proficiency in Excel to work on inventory and process improvement projects. Some of my major accomplishments during my time as an intern include working with a database to quantify the amounts of gallons of products moving through a production plant in a year, calculating the values of measurement instrument discrepancies to find accurate storage amounts, and creating P&ID designs of an asphalt plant. Making a difference has always been a life-long goal of mine, and working with those in need to give them the tools they need to live happy and successful lives drove me to psychology. I believe that my passion for learning about philosophy and psychology is the key to both myself and helping others become the best person they can be.
