Reporting to the Senior Manager - API and Business Systems Support within Financial Services Division, I worked on Safaricom’s Daraja MPESA API product offering Developer Support and helped to onboard new clients onto the Daraja platform. My roles included responding to customer related issues to provide consistent quality of service, and approving production applications.I also assisted and was involved in the delivery and implementation of the MPESA Payments Portal under the Financial Services Division. My role in the project was to carry out User Acceptance Tests to enable successful deployment, which was carried out on 20th November 2018. My time here enabled me to learn and understand the detailed workings of the MPESA APIs and from this knowledge I have been able to create a Node/JavaScript library called Daraja to assist other clients integrate their applications with the MPESA REST APIs.
