I investigated the treatment and disposal of food processing waste, and was a teaching assistant for Heat & Mass Transfer and Engineering Economics.

I developed a method for the production of novel electrolytes for lithium batteries, and produced and tested the electrolytes. The work was published in Chemistry Letters of The Chemical Society of Japan.

I gained experience with environmental regulations, particularly with respect to water quality, site assessments, and landfills. I assisted in sampling and site inspections, as well as meeting with clients to gather information for reports. I wrote environmental site assessments, spill prevention and contingency plans, and annual landfill reports.

I setup and verified a new particle size analyzer. I was also involved in sampling and lab work to ensure product quality.

I setup and operated a pilot-scale flotation cell and analyzed element recovery data. I performed sieve tests and analysis to get particle size distributions to evaluate the mill effectiveness. I sampled water and wastewater and did testing for pH and metals.
