Suitcase Clinic, started in 1989 by Joint Medical Program (JMP) students at UCSF, is the first student-run free clinic in the nation. The Cancer Collective is a joint collaboration between the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Havard Medical School working to empower cancer patients to gain control of their genomic sequencing data. WEBSITE DEVELOPER (Sept 2020-Oct 2020) • “I was attracted to this particular project because a couple of months ago my mother was diagnosed with cervical leiomyosarcoma. Being a relatively rare cancer, she was directed to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Genomic Sequencing for cancer patients is so important in regards to access to personalized treatment but also preventative care for the patient's family.”
