As a predominantly self taught graphic artist, I have spent over a decade honing my skills by working with a wide variety of clients, taking on anything from logo design to product photography and just about everything in between. Throughout that time my specialty has become brand development. I’m passionate about creating unique visual identities for my clients that help elevate their brands and differentiate their products/services.

After being hired in a freelance capacity to create the initial brand identity for Aslan Brewing Co. in 2012, I was brought on as Art Director in early 2014. Throughout the last several years I have had the opportunity to build the brand from the ground up and work with a talented team. Though now I have stepped back to a part time position while I pursue other passions, for the first 8 years with Aslan I oversaw all visual aspects of the brand, from packaging to product photography to web design, and am responsible for the creation of all graphic materials. For the first year I was also responsible for running our social media marketing through Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.I was responsible for visually cataloging beer releases, menu items, and many other aspects of the Aslan brand for use in print & web. Photography is a passion I have pursued in parallel with graphic design. It allows me to efficiently conceptualize and complete a design project from start to finish.Aslan has given me an incredible opportunity to grow. Being that we started with such a small team, we have all had to wear many hats. This has allowed me to step outside of my comfort zone and pick up skills & knowledge I wasn't exposed to in past employment opportunities.

At Whatcom, I worked with the marketing team to design graphics and shoot photos for both print & web advertising.

I was responsible for maintaining the brand image I had developed for the company, running our social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, & Twitter), and directing/creating all graphics projects. Being the only graphic designer and working in the incredibly fast paced environment of a sign & graphics shop, I had to learn to conceptualize & create under challenging short deadlines.
