Clay County Medical Center (CCMC) is a Critical Access Hospital with five rural health clinics and over 125 credentialed medical providers. CCMC also operates Meadowlark Hospice and the Mark A. Chapman Wellness Center. We have an ownership stake in Mobile Clinical Services and Liberty Place Assisted Living. Awarded the Top 20 Critical Access Hospital in the United States. Awarded the Regional Governor’s Award of Excellence in the State of Kansas.In 2017, we acquired three rural health clinics, eight family practice physicians, and four midlevel providersIn 2018, we worked with our community to issue general obligation bonds for a 29,000 square foot addition and a 15,000 square foot renovation. No taxes were levied. Engaged the Clay County Hospital Foundation to raise $2.8 million in 18 months for new fixtures, furnishings, and equipment. In 2019, we purchased land and built two new provider-based rural health clinics in Clyde, KS and Riley, KS. In 2021, we remodeled and opened a new provider-based rural health clinic in Glasco, KS.In 2021, we implemented Cerner CommunityWorks throughout our hospital and five provider-based rural health clinics.In 2021, we completed a 27 exam room, 12,000 square foot, provider-based rural health clinic renovation. Added a three exam room infectious disease suite alongside this provider-based rural health clinic. In 2022, we expanded and renovated a 5,500 square foot kitchen and dining room. Completed in October 2021. In 2024, we started the construction of a 6,765 square-foot addition, featuring a new mental health clinic and expansion of Clay Center Family Physicians.Recruited four family practice/obstetrics physicians, three psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner, two CRNAs, OB/GYN, Neurologist, Endocrinologist, Ophthalmologist, Gastroenterologist, Podiatrist, Oncologist, Orthopedic Surgeon, and Dermatologist. We now have over 30 specialists that visit CCMC on a monthly basis.
