I was sitting on a Harley for design research when I realized how much I love my job. Using studies of sales people in their native habitats, we combined our technical expertise with design know-how to develop a custom sales enablement tool that created a better selling experience for customers and boosted sales teams for Harley, combining strategy with design and development.From my early days as a developer through two decades in UX, I've combined my technical, strategy, and design expertise to achieve outsize results for clients like ExxonMobil, The World Bank, Harley-Davidson, Microsoft, and WalMart.I work with C-level execs, managers, and technical leads to tease out and develop strategies that enable teams to produce outcomes like 3x ROI, +28 NPS, and 20% improvements to conversion.In 2019, I authored Collaborative Product Design (O'Reilly) about embedding design thinking into agile teams and lean orgs, and in 2009 I co-authored Information Architecture: Blueprints For The Web.
