BB&T Capital Markets is a full-service investment bank providing M&A and capital raising advisory services to middle-market public and private companies across a range of industries.Experience and specialties included structuring and executing public equity offerings (IPOs, follow-on offerings and private placements), advising executives on equity financing market dynamics, creating financial valuation models (DCF, LBO, IPO), authoring M&A process deliverables (pitchbooks, information memoranda and management presentations), conducting in-depth industry and company research and business due diligence. Series 7 and Series 79 registered with FINRA.

As a member of Merrill Lynch's CFO Accounting & Finance Analyst Program, I completed a comprehensive training program with finance, accounting and management modules. Formal seminars and testing included advanced accounting, financial statement analysis, cash flow modeling, presentation creation, and project management. I subsequently completed rotations in Global Private Client Finance and Global Securities-based Lending Finance, both in the New York Area. My responsibilities included management reporting (including annual budgeting and forecasting), executive fact books, product profitability modeling, and support of Sarbanes Oxley and Six Sigma initiatives.

As a Summer Analyst in Merrill Lynch's MBS (Mortgage-backed Securities) Finance division, I was responsible for daily MBS product P&L reporting and balance sheet management. The comprehensive summer training program included accounting, finance, leadership, and oral and written communication modules.
