Former elementary school professional, Rotary Global Grant recipient, and Fulbright alternate scholar with a masters of research (MRes) in philosophy at the University of Reading (UK). I acted as a teacher and mentor to my students and I have assisted over 200 primary scholars in achieving their data goals for their education and state tests. As a Teach For America corps member alumnus, I am making use of my passions for social issues, grassroots politics, analytics, and debate to ensure my scholars' destinies are not a byproduct of their zip codes or other factors outside of their control. I successfully pursued this goal through building relationships with my students and their families and ensuring my scholars take control of their education, while simultaneously lobbying for more educational opportunities for my students in the state and federal legislatures. As a corps member with the Uplift system, I initiated, created, and headed the Mighty Debaters Debate Team, a competitive academic primary cohort dedicated to improving reading, writing, research, and speaking skills while incorporating STAAR tested skills and improving social skills and confidence. In addition, I also co-lead the Junior Beta Club, an organization working to place scholars in leadership roles while setting them up financially and professionally for college and the global world. At time of founding, we were the only primary debate team and Beta club in the entire Uplift network. My work with these scholars accounted for the highest growth in the Uplift district and the third best scores in the district. Recently, I completed a Master's of Research in philosophy student at the University of Reading, where my work and research focuses on artificial intelligence, the death penalty, and immigration and citizenship.Upon returning to the US, I became involved with more organizations in order to increase my community presence and make a larger impact on my community in a post-COVID world. These organizations include CAMP Fellows, SteerFW, Leadership Fort Worth, and the Foundation for the Young Women’s Leadership Academy. My roles ranged from consultant to fellow across a wide array of training and hands-on learning.Currently, I am preparing to either apply to law school to pursue a JD and be a constitutional lawyer or work in consulting and eventually pursue an MBA. I also have interests in policy analytics and sitting on boards. My career goal is to use my analytic and problem solving abilities to maximize efficiency and improve communities.
