As the home of the astronaut training corps and center for manned spaceflight missions Johnson Space Center is an integral part of the NASA family. There are the many directives at Johnson Space Center and my internship focused on hardware development of environmental control systems for the International Space Station and future deep space vehicles.As an embedded systems engineer I was responsible for the design of an avionics system meant to control an automated experiment on the ISS for a six month mission. The experiment included novel fluid geometries meant to separate water from air in an environmental control system.The control system implemented a state machine to control a complex set of sensor arrays, actuators, fans and fluid controls. I was responsible for a large portion of the hardware controls and signal conditioning as well as a large part of the state machine design.

Kennedy Space Center(KSC) has served as NASA's primary launch center for a host of missions over the last half century. KSC has served the Apollo program, the Space Shuttle program and are proud to serve the growing commercial launch sector as it develops. At KSC I worked as a software developer in support of NASA's next manned spaceflight missions. My team was tasked with finding and correcting code errors in C/C++ and Java. We implement a suite of test tools to write and improve unit tests that allowed our engineers to correct errors early and reduced integration efforts.

The Lab for Interconnected Devices (LID) is a university sponsored student-run rapid prototyping laboratory. The LID mission is to provide a platform for students to prototype and test their idea's at a reasonable cost.As a lab manager I was responsible for: * Instructing students and industry users on the proper use of prototyping equipment. * Teaching workshops on basic soldering and electronic CAD software. * Assisting lab users with a myriad of engineering projects and concepts. * Maintaining, setting up and writing SOP's for prototyping equipment.As a manager I helped write and improve SOP's for our printed circuit board routers, including pictures and explicit instructions to reduce the learning curve of using the equipment. I also removed and replaced the control board on one of our k40 CO2 laser cutters and set up its cooling system.

I am a self-taught guitarist and studied vocal performance at SUU. I've been playing and singing since I was seventeen where I started playing bass in a garage band. I've performed largely as a solo act under my given name.As a musician I have had the fortune of playing festivals all over the Southwest and Pacific Northwest. I've played hundreds of standard and non-standard venues and I've had regular gigs at different bars or restaurants. With the incredible talent and help of Steven Swift I was able to record an album of original music; "Early Years" was released in 2012 and is available on iTunes and Spotify.Despite returning to college for engineering I've continued to write and practice since the release of my album and will likely release another album sometime in the next few years.

Applied Behavioral Analysis is a method that is widely accepted to be effective at teaching children on the autism spectrum valuable academic and social skillsAs a special needs tutor I worked with a BCBA to create and maintain learning programs for a child on the autism spectrum. During my tenure as Jadyn's tutor he made incredible progress from these programs. I worked with him one-on-one to: * Learn acceptable social behaviors. * Learn how to play the piano. * Learn how to read. * Learn how to communicate his experience more effectively.

V-Tunes Music was a small entertainment company in Southern Utah. Our primary mission was to bring world-class music and entertainment to the Grand Staircase area. Our cursory missions were to provide community services and benefit beyond entertainment.Our company organized a music festival that brought incredible local and national talent to a small community in Southern Utah. The festival was hosted at the town hall and was graced with such talent as: Sean Hayes, Cory Mon and the Starlight Gospel, Joshua James, Pat and Rosie Maloney, Steve Swift, Dave Mcgraw and Crow Wing as well as many resident performers.In support of our community development mission V-Tunes Music Festival adopted a section of HWY89 and organized highway clean-ups along the main roadway by our community. We started the first recycling program in the city and promoted several social events over the years.As the Co-Owner of the company I was responsible for: * Contract management between concessionaires, talent and our sound/stage partners. * Legal and professional services such as acquiring permits and insurance. * Venue logistics, security and construction. * Financial management and taxesThanks in part to our incredible crew of volunteers and donors the festival was financially self-sustaining. We ran the festival for three years and continued to promote smaller events multiple times a year at other non-standard venues.

Experience in Film and Commercial acting. Worked with FiftyFilms, GSS Productions LLC, SRS Production, Sue Rowe Studios and others. Acted in commercials for Verizon, Verisign, Sony and others. Stunt experience including sword fighting and stage combat as well as film experience as a supporting actor.

Aided in the design and construction of the restaurant. Worked to create and design tapas dishes and menu. Responsible for selecting a wide array of fine wine and beer. Worked with owners to market this brand new business.

New construction from the ground to finished product. Experience includes: dirt work, concrete, carpentry, siding, roofing, plumbing, dry-wall, flooring.

Several years at this summer job. I served food mostly but also have a small amount of experience in bartending/barbacking.

Consultative sales position. I worked in the T-mobile Tele-sales account selling wireless services. I was the best selling agent by volume and percentage for three consecutive weeks in February of 2007, out of 700 other agents.
