In this role, I oversaw the accounting operations and processes for Southeastern Utah Association of Local Governments. This included tracking budgets, ensuring controls and processes were established and followed, and streamlining and updating accounting practices. It was my responsibility to make sure the agency adhered to OMB and GASB standards. In doing these things I was able to oversee an amazing team.At SEUALG I also have HR responsibilities including on-boarding and payroll.

Provided business coaching and advanced training to entrepreneurs in the Price, Moab, and Blanding areas. Offered trainings and professional speaking engagements to partner organizations throughout the region. Helped businesses create business plans, learn to read and understand financial statements in order to grow their business. Worked toward becoming QuickBooks ProAdvisor, and counselled businesses in understanding and using QuickBooks and other account software. Helped empower a team of 6 to thrive in achieving KPI's and helping small businesses thrive in Southeastern Utah.

I had the privilege of wearing several hats for Ward Landscapes. The first was that of COO. As the Chief Operating Officer, it was my task to assess the businesses operations and make the changes needed to help Ward Landscapes with the growth that it has been experiencing for the last several years. Ward Landscapes is the best landscaping business in the Carbon and Emery area and has had great success, it has been my opportunity to help establish operations, policies, and procedures to help sustain that growth. I also wore the hat of project manager. This responsibility allowed me to manage many of the employees at Ward Landscapes as I directed them to complete projects from cradle to grave. This duty allowed me to see how the company operates from many different angles which in turn helped me to better structure operations. While working in this role I increased my knowledge and skills with using Quickbooks.

I was asked to teach a personal finance class for Utah State University Eastern for the Spring 2018 semester. In this role I wrote a curriculum of basic financial concepts and instructed students throughout southeastern Utah. During course end reviews I received higher than average results.

I managed daily operations of the on campus post office which offers services to thousands of students, staff members, and faculty. Operations included cash handling, credit processing, budgeting, and data analysis for department sales. I personally have updated the mail handling and processing system to become more efficient and streamlined and cutout waste. Apart from my post office duties, I maintained all capital assets on the USU Eastern Campus. This included physical inventory assessment, and the creating, maintaining, and analysis of the records for said assets.

As an outside salesman I built new and existing relationships with customers by using my knowledge of 17 different product lines and understanding of customer needs. I Performed sales calls and deliveries to new and existing customers serving over seventy five customers weekly. I frequently ranked in the top 98th percentile in the company of over 2,100 sales representatives. As Inside sales manager, I ran day to day operations for the local branch. I oversaw the inventory control of thousands of products including marketing and displaying items to move for sale. As inside sales manager, I handled customer, employee, and vendor relations. I was successful in helping our branch rank in the top 90th percentile in over one thousand locations. I Trained, scheduled, and supervised several employees to make sure they had the skills and knowledge to successfully fulfill our customer needs. I participated in procurement and buying for my branch by working with vendors and suppliers.

I performed nightly Audits at a privately owned hotel. As night Auditor I was in charge of cash handling procedures, as well as reviewing daily sales and accounting documents. I was able to gain experience in customer service while working as the night front desk clerk. This experience gave me the opportunity to learn the inner workings of the hotel business.
