About Austin Rhoads
Coding is my gateway to invention.Immediately, I fell in love with coding. Whatever I could dream up suddenly had a path to manifest into reality. Whether that was giving the tools of game physics to any user so they can design their own 2D video game (Arcade Studios), or extract metadata from fishing images to create a digital representation of your local ecology (Fish In Sight app). I can apply coding to art, science, philosophy, or even fishing and instantly change the way the world relates to it. I found a way to invent.My strength is in my ability to change the status quo. I practice being open to new perspectives on problem solving and creatively pulling resources and tools together to discover new emergent qualities. I thrive in uncertainty where my creativity and resourcefulness are allowed to flourish. So far in my thirst for learning I’ve picked up JavaScript, React, Rails, HTML, CSS, Google API, and TensorFlow. I’m currently exploring new languages and skills I see in my career’s future such as Python, machine learning and building neural networks from scratch.
