I am a people-focused, entrepreneurial executive and technologist. I love building teams and leading collaborative problem solving processes to create products that improve people's lives. I create psychological safety for my teams to take risks, embrace ambiguity, and do their best work. In my career, I have been privileged to launch global products with top tech companies, exit startups, and invent technology used around the world. My technical background is primarily focused at the boundary between hardware and software across computer graphics, consumer electronics, and cloud infrastructure software. I love optimizing complex systems to drive performance, efficiency, and new capabilities. I combine that technical understanding with quantitative and scientific methods of product management to reduce risk in the zero-to-one phase of bringing new products to market.I have been part of two successfully exited startups, one as an early employee and one as a founder, and spent the last year exploring the buy-side of M&A through my self-funded search fund, Treefrog Search, where I have sourced opportunities, analyzed industries, performed diligence, and made offers on small businesses around Southern California.I studied physics and computer science at the University of Chicago, where I completed a B.S. degree, entered a Ph.D. program in computer science at the University of Utah and left with an M.S. degree to join my advisor's startup being spun out of the university, and recently completed an M.B.A. at UCLA Anderson. In the past year, I have been pursuing educational opportunities in climate and sustainability, completing Terra.do's Learning for Action Fellowship, and participating in several climate-focused communities including AirMiners and Climate Vine.
