Contributed to several programs at Ball Aerospace that involved RF circuit design, including two IRAD integrated receivers. Researched wideband components, performed cascade analyses, and carried out architecture trade-studies. Measured S-parameters from existing prototype boards and factored them into simulated models as a way to approximate end-RF behavior.Debugged a pseudo-random frequency hopping effect on an RF networkboard prototype. The board provides RF preconditioning (i.e. use of limiters, filters, amplifiers,etc.) prior to downconversion.

Wrote scripts and programs to automate tasks in the engineering department. The programs controlled instrumentation, captured diagnostic packets from company products, recorded RF measurements, and plotted the data. Debugged non-functioning radios and soldered 0603 and 0402 SMT components for testing.Worked with radio propagation studies, receiving customer’s topographical map data and analyzing whether or not RF communications was feasible in their area.
