About Austin Schlichting
Graduated at North Dakota State University (spring 2015) with a degree in mechanical engineering and minor in manufacturing engineering. I really like designing parts in 3D CAD systems and developing complicated assemblies. At my current internship I design small single component jigs to larger 50+ part complex equipment.I am a really inquisitive and driven individual as I have many out of work and school projects that I do on my own time. Most of these projects revolve around my interest, mainly outdoors stuffs. These projects require me to learn new skills and techniques that cannot be learned in college. I would love to get a position in the powersport industry. I have always been interested in ATV's, snowmobiles, and motorcycles.I am very happy to have graduated an solidified the first part of my education. Now, I am working as a contractor at MTS systems. I will be able to further my education with this company. MTS is filled with very smart and helpful engineers. I couldn't be more fulfilled in my life right now.
