For this job, my responsibilities include time management, client relations, observational skills and organizational skills. With this company, I make my schedule myself and I don't have to show it to my boss, its completely dependent on me. This is because we work with clients on a case basis and I have to discuss with the client their schedule and my schedule, so we can figure out a time to meet. This is also where client relations come into play, its important to build a rapport with a client so they can trust us. This allows us to better help them, so we can better our services and hopefully help their situation. All of our cases are through CPS, and have a child that's been taken, or about to be, due to their parents actions. This can create tension between me and parents, due to the idea that they think I'm there to take their child away. But that isn't the case, I'm there to observe and report my findings to the caseworker. For this job I had to train for almost two weeks and pass a test to even get the job. I successfully passed all the training and test, then started the job shortly after. During this job, I was the only one who worked at the post office due to it being a small town post office. So I ran the entire office by myself which required a lot of duties and self efficiency on my part. The accounting part came in at the end of the day when I would have to count down the draw, for money, stamps and other postal items. Then I entered in the amount in a computer and based on what I had made that day, I had to seal the money in a bag and send it off to the main post office. Organization came in to play every single day when I had to put up each piece of mail, which it was common for me to have two thousand pieces of letter mail a day.
